Somos capazes de ajudar a construir um futuro melhor para biliões [Br. Triliões] de pessoas. Mas a perda da civilização humana poderia obliterar esse potencial.
Se quisermos fazer o maior bem que pudermos, e criar vidas melhores para os nossos descendentes, devemos considerar as formas como podemos destruir-nos — e descobrir como impedi-las de acontecer.
Nesta sequência, iremos definir “riscos existenciais”, explorar estratégias para os enfrentar e examinar porque é que este trabalho pode ser importante e negligenciado.
